Robert Kendrick: Break
built 256 days ago
Kendrick uses the changeover to exit stage right for a bathroom break. Murray spends the break chuntering away to the umpire about "consistency" - presumably of line calls. When play resumes, Kendrick - wearing a new T-shirt - kicks off with an error and a double fault. Another woeful drop shot from Kendrick gives Murray break point and the American then nets a volley. A delighted Murray sprints back to his chair and he can see the winning line now.

In 2006, Kendrick entered the top 100 for the first time in his career, ending the year at No. 87. Consequently, 2006 is generally considered to be Kendrick's breakthrough year to date.

Kendrick goes for a desperation serve-and-volley at 0-30 and promptly loses the point. The American is being outclassed at the moment and he gives up another break with a double fault that lands a foot wide.
