Robert Conrad plays Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington, Medal of Honor winner and multiple ace in the Pacific. Pappy is the squadron leader of a group of fighter pilots, considered misfits by their former commands, basically exiled to this squadron which is stationed on an island in the Pacific during Word War II.

Conrad states "she's not just another celebrity putting out another clothing line." She has already put about 10 pieces of fall clothing out online and is going to put out a bigger line of clothing in the spring. The strapless bubble teal dress that she wore at the Teen Choice awards was in fact designed by herself. Her intention for her new clothing line is to make it something that she would wear either to the beach or out to dinner with her girl friends. Each individual piece of clothing that she has designed is named after one of her friends such as Audrina or Whitney from The Hills. The Lauren Conrad line is filled with slinky jersey dresses and flowy tops.

In 1970, Conrad conceived and produced the first of the annual WCLV/Cleveland Orchestra Marathons, which through the spring of 1997 had raised more than $4 million for the orchestra. He has participated in more than 130 similar fund-raising events for other orchestras, arts groups, and public radio stations.
