Jailed actor Robert Blake is to talk to the American public - at last. The Baretta star, who was arrested and jailed for the suspected murder of his wife Bonny Lee Bakley last April, has been going against his attorneys' wishes and trying to set up TV interviews with top broadcasters. His efforts to secure a TV chat with newscaster Diane Sawyer last year, which cost him the services of defense lawyer Harland Braun, were scuttled when the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department declared the interview would be a travesty. But, now the authorities have agreed to Blake's wishes, and top broadcaster Barbara Walters will visit the jailbird on Monday, where she will record an interview with him, which will be broadcast at a later date on her news magazine show 20/20. Meanwhile, friends of Blake say the actor is annoyed after hearing record producer Phil Spector was allowed to post bail after he was arrested and charged with the murder of actress Lana Clarkson earlier this month. Blake has not been allowed to post bail and walk free, despite many attempts.
In Lovecraft's tale, Robert Blake is a young author and painter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He comes to Providence, Rhode Island and moves into an apartment on College Street. While there, he completes five short stories: "The Burrower Beneath", "The Feaster from the Stars", "In the Vale of Pnath", "Shaggai", and "The Stairs in the Crypt". He becomes obsessed with a deserted church on Federal Hill across the street from his residence. He later learns of a cult that was once active there, the Church of Starry Wisdom. His investigation of this cult inevitably leads to his death.

Remember in the terminal pics Robert Blake doesn't have an eye patch, in the Chapter screen the right side of his face is in shadow, and all Bobs in the game have eye patches. As Stephen suggests perhaps the eye patch is removable?
A family-only funeral service for Bonny Lee Bakley, the murdered wife of actor Robert Blake, was called off Wednesday due to a media frenzy outside the Los Angeles funeral home where Bakley was set to be memorialized. According to The Associated Press, Bakley's body was about to be carried into the funeral home when members of the press began to swarm. Rather than delay the service until the media calmed, Blake called off the memorial. Elsewhere, in even more bizarre Blake news, O.J. Simpson told Extra on Wednesday that he was uniquely intrigued by the murder investigation. "I've got to admit, I was pretty fascinated when I first heard [of the murder]," he said.

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Robert Blake's lawyer attacked a homicide detective Friday for giving an author unparalleled access to the LAPD's investigation of the murder of the actor's wife. "Do you think bringing [author] Miles Corwin to every stage of this investigation is a good way [for you] to get in a book or movie ...?" asked Blake's lawyer, Thomas Mesereau Jr. "Well, a book for sure," replied the 26-year LAPD veteran, Ronald Ito. Mesereau, representing Blake at a preliminary hearing to determine whether the actor will be tried for the murder of his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, charged Ito with contaminating evidence and seeking to "poison the jury pool" by buddying up with Corwin. The former Los Angeles Times reporter is writing a book featuring the investigation that Ito said could come out before the end of the year. Blake, 69, was charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and solicitation to murder after Bakley's shooting death behind Vitello's Italian Restaurant last year.
Robert Blake's murdered wife was planning to con Oscar-nominated actor Gary Busey months before her death, Blake's attorney, Harland Braun, told Reuters on Tuesday. According to Braun, Bakley targeted the actor and "had a list of people she was going to go after and his name was down for March 30, 2001." After contacting Busey, Braun said the actor said he had never heard from Bakley. Los Angeles police ... has asked Braun to stop talking to the media about the case because it is interfering with the police's ability to investigate Bakley's murder. "We must remember that Bonny Lee Bakley is not the one under investigation," Garrett Zimmon, the commanding officer of the police department's Detective Services, said. "We need to be sensitive to that."
