Harland Braun, attorney for actor Robert Blake, presented new evidence to Los Angeles police late Thursday in the murder investigation of Blake's wife, Bonny Bakley, who was shot to death May 4 outside a Los Angeles eatery. According to ABC News, Braun turned over some of Bakley's personal effects--including the contents of her luggage found at Blake's home, which consisted of documents and tapes. Braun has previously said that Bakley had been sending nude pictures of herself to unknown men in exchange for money and gifts. Police have not ruled Blake out as a suspect.

Actor Robert Blake, along with the Los Angeles Police Department, is staying quiet in the aftermath of the fatal shooting of his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley. The shooting occurred Friday outside a Hollywood-area restaurant as Blake reportedly entered the eatery to retrieve a handgun he had left there.

According to CNN, Blake's first wife, Sondra Kerr Blake, was deposed in a civil lawsuit filed by Bonnie Lee Bakley's children against Robert Blake. She testified that she learned some time in the 1970s that Blake had put out a hit on her and her then-boyfriend, actor Steve Railsback. Allegedly, Blake had planned to make the double-murder look like a revenge-killing for Kerr Blake's and Railsback's participation in the movie Helter Skelter (about Charles Manson).

Around 7:30 on the evening of May 4, 2001, Robert Blake and Bonny Bakley pulled up near the entrance of Vitello's Restaurant in a vintage, black, Dodge Stealth. Blake -- who would later say he was carrying a gun in fear that his wife would suddenly be attacked -- chose not to use the valet parking service. Instead he decided to park his car around the corner and down the street from the restaurant -- in the shadows, behind a dumpster.

Like many other nights, actor Robert Blake went out to dinner Friday at Vitello's, an Italian restaurant in Studio City, Calif. His wife, Bonnie Bakley, accompanied him. After finishing their meal, the couple got into their car but Blake went back to the restaurant to retrieve something that he had left behind. The 67-year-old actor returned to his car to find his wife had been shot in the forehead, according to police.
