Deuce Bigalow - European Gigilo The native of San Francisco, Rob Schneider dropped out of junior college and got his start performing in Haight-Ashbury cafes and comedy clubs. His blend of goofball frolics and self-deprecating wittiness quickly won him attention that he was hired to be the opening for the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Dana Carvey and Jerry Seinfeld. Armed with the success, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he met future “NSL” teammate Adam Sandler, and continued to do stand-up comedy before heading to New York City.
Rob Schneider has gone from being the second banana to such comedians as Adam Sandler and Kelsey Grammer to being the main star of such films as "Deuce Bigelow" and "The Animal." His new film is titled "The Hot Chick" and it gives Schneider a chance to show his comic skills again.
rob schneider Keeping within that tradition, Schneider takers his brand of comedy one step further with his irreverent new film, The Animal, which he ... co-wrote for Adam Sandler's company. In the movie, Schneider plays small, wimpy Marvin, who doesn't have what it takes to fulfil his lifelong dream to be a cop. But his luck changes when he's critically injured in a car accident and a deranged scientist (Michael Caton) secretly uses animal organs to rebuild him. Energized by his new parts, Marvin leaves his weakness behind and achieves instant fame as a supercop. Now a hero, life is going great for Marvin, until his animal instincts start taking over his body at all the wrong times. Marvin struggles to remain civilized, and be a perfect gentleman with his new love, Rianna (Colleen Haskell of TV's original "Survivor") in a series of hilarious situations that would drive any animal crazy.
Schneider has ... appeared in numerous comedies starring his SNL comrade Sandler. The comedic characters Schneider plays in these films include an overly enthusiastic Cajun man who proclaims the catch-phrase, "You can do it!"; an amiable Middle Eastern delivery boy; and Sandler̢۪s one-eyed Hawaiian sidekick, Ula. Schneider has uttered the line "You can do it!" as a running gag in Sandler's films The Waterboy, Little Nicky, and The Longest Yard, as well as in a deleted scene from Click. Returning the favor, Sandler appeared in a cameo to spout the same line in Schneider's The Animal. Schneider narrated Sandler's 2002 animated movie Eight Crazy Nights, and voiced the part of a Chinese waiter.

After a few false starts and a failed sitcom, things turned around when buddy Adam Sandler began casting him in his movies, leading to Schneider's opportunity to try his hand at leading-man status in a number of comedies. Though these films were largely ignored by the critics, they have found a dedicated fan base, and a number of new ones are in various stages of development.
