LYCOS RETRIEVER
Rikku
built 264 days ago
Rikku is the thief of the party, her main skills being Steal and Use, which allow her to steal items from enemies and use items other members of the party would not ordinarily be able to respectively. Other than these 2 skills and a couple of others, Rikku is not likely to be used for much else owing to mediocre strength and magic attributes. However, the uses of stolen objects for customising weapons and armour, teaching Aeons abilities as well as being very useful for her overdrive makes Rikku a very useful character. As she joins the party a lot later than the rest of the crew, her route on the sphere grid is by far the shortest, and therefore the attribute increases are generally higher than those on the other characters' paths. It should ... be noted that Rikku's grid starts with a lot of HP nodes to help get her strong enough to fight the battles she immediately finds herself in. Being a thief, Rikku is of course highly agile and excells only really in this attribute, although her accuracy and defences are servicable.

Rikku (originally known as "Ryukku" (リュック) in Japan, and no relation to Riku of the Squaresoft game Kingdom Hearts) is a playable character in the PlayStation 2 games Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. She is a young, perky, attractive Al Bhed girl with blonde hair and a penchant for mechanics, alchemy and thievery. She is prone to funny hand gestures when overexcited and using humor to deflate anxious or dangerous situations.

As the party made their way through the Macalania Woods, Barthello came along and told them that he'd lost Dona – and Rikku realised the Al Bhed were responsible. And as they approached Lake Macalanea, Brother brought a large posse of Al Bhed to abduct Yuna once again – as well as a Crawler, a large machinegun-meets-cannon machina. After the party destroy the Crawler, Rikku tells Brother in the Al Bhed language that she has become a guardian. Wakka gets angry and starts ranting and raving at Rikku, who – far from taking it lying down – challenges his stubborn penchant for following Yevon's teachings without thinking for himself, and tries to reason with him. Despite this, other party members, such as Lulu and Kimahri, offer support for Rikku if Tidus rides with them on the snowmobiles. If Tidus rides with Rikku, she knew he was still ignorant to what will happen to Summoners if they go ahead with the Final Aeon, and that she was running out of excuses to keep it from him after their run-in with Brother.

Rikku first appears in Final Fantasy X as an aid to Tidus shortly after he first arrives in the vicinity of Spira's mainland. Their meeting takes place at an ancient Yevon temple known as "Baaj Temple." After helping Tidus defeat a fiend, she prevents her brother and their Al Bhed comrades—who thought he too was a fiend—from killing him. Later, while Yuna and her guardians are crossing the Moonflow along the path of Yuna's pilgrimage, Rikku was part of an Al Bhed team who tried to abduct Yuna in a machina, to prevent her from completing her pilgrimage—which would cost Yuna her life—only to be stopped by Tidus and Wakka. Tidus finds her when she regains consciousness after washing ashore- he recognizes her and learns of her role in the kidnapping attempt, but does not disclose the latter fact. After explaining herself to Yuna and Lulu, and gaining Auron's approval, Rikku became the last member to join Yuna's entourage of guardians, though Wakka—who was deeply prejudiced toward the Al Bhed at that time—was clueless that Rikku was an Al Bhed until her brother tried to abduct Yuna once again, this time near Macalania Temple.

Rikku eventually began consuming even more crack than Janis Joplin. However, unlike Janis, she would never fall in love with music, only selling herself out. Eventually, even fanboys grew tired of her and began hurling insults. She ... contracted gonorrhea during sex. She DID make one last comeback in 2012 at Jeb Bush's inauguration, where she performed for a man who stole the office against the will of the people.

Rikku looked around to see who was talking, and was confronted by a small an in a white coat wearing thick glasses. She saw he was looking at her intently, and tried to wave to him. She couldn’t move her arm, and turned her head to try to look. Her entire arm was encased in various straps and buckles. She began to panic, and looked at her other one. The same.
