Mainstream American right-wing groups ... tend to support Israel's actions in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as they perceive Israel as being the only stronghold of democracy and stability in the Middle East. The terrorist attacks that struck Israel after the Camp David 2000 Summit and the September 11 terrorist attacks on the U.S. increased this sympathy for, and support of, Israel. The Christian right, many of them Judeo-Christians or Christian Zionists, support Israel because they believe its existence is essential to bring the Messiah.

All that ended... when some of the most highly-trafficked right-wing bloggers decided to direct their readers to Wild Bill’s site. First, Roger L. Simon, co-founder and CEO of Pajamas Media — a portal and advertising broker for nearly every major right-wing blog — posted a link to Wild Bill on his personal site. (The Pajamas Media portal also linked to Wild Bill.) Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit — probably the most highly-trafficked right-wing blog — followed suit by linking to Simon’s post and the Pajamas Media post.

Right-wing think tanks have ... had Rollnet links. Professor Stefan Possony has worked at the Hoover Institution and has also been active in WACL and the American Security Council. The ubiquitous Gen. Daniel Graham has been associated with the Heritage Foundation. The Nicaraguan contras also have their supporting group of intellectuals, called Prodemca (Friends of the Democratic Center in Central America), including such prestigious people as Jeane Kirkpatrick, right-wing patron William Simon, and Ben Wattenberg of the influential Coalition for a Democratic Majority.

For many frustrated right-wing activists, news of Karl Rove’s departure from the White House may have felt like good riddance to bad rubbish. Richard Viguerie called it “good news for conservatives.” Paul Weyrich, another old hand of the conservative movement, said, “You have to say that if (Rove) can claim credit for what happened in 2004, it is reasonable that he is somewhat responsible for where we are in 2007.”

A person who believes in right-wing political ideas often believes in moral and social conservatism, law and order, and religion. A person who believes in left-wing political ideas often believes that the money of a country should be given to the poor people in a country, and that a country's government should not be involved in religion.
