LYCOS RETRIEVER
Rhea: Rhea 1
built 652 days ago
Rhea is her fathers daughter. She is working tempered which means she is very determined and willful. But that same trait that made her difficult at times as a young giant to live with, is ... what makes her a marvelous working/performing/show dog and sometimes simply hysterical! Rhea loves the ring. In fact, if you walk her on too long of a lead ringside (more than 6 inches) she may surprise you and mortify others by busting to the end of the lead and standing on a tiny Yorkie table with or without the poor little dog on it or in the ring with Collies! She earned her nick name the Ring Rocket fairly.

Beyond the Rhea and Minos clusters mentioned above, Lawrence Livermore last year ... acquired two other supercomputing clusters from Appro: the 44 teraFLOP "Atlas" cluster and the 11 teraFLOP "Zeus" cluster. These supercomputing clusters are used for unclassified research under the Laboratory's Multi-programmatic and Institutional Computing program. For more information about Atlas Clusters go to http://www.llnl.gov/pao/news/news_releases/2007/NR-07-04-05.html. With the addition of the Minos cluster, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory will have a total of 20 SU, 2,880 nodes or 23,040 cores of supercomputing power available for programmatic computing projects. For more information about all of these clusters go to http://www.llnl.gov/computing/tutorials/linux_clusters/#Systems

Having ... deluded her husband, Rhea 1 went to Crete where she gave birth to Zeus in a cave in Mount Dicte or in Mount Ida. And while the child was fed by the NYMPHS Adrastia 1 and Ide 3, the daughters of Melisseus 1, on the milk of Amalthea the goat, the CURETES who guarded the cave clashed their spears on their shields in order that Cronos might not hear the child's voice.

This crescent image of Rhea was acquired by Voyager 1 as the spacecraft was retreating from the moon after closest approach. A large canyon can be seen along the day/night terminator. (Copyright 2002 Calvin J. Hamilton)

Rhea's second trip to Washington, DC. was in March, 1996 as part of the PFLAG Moms and Dads Go to Washington lobby day. In her report to pflag-talk, she compared the hate in Seymour to the love she found on her trip to DC.

Rhea chicks 3-4 months old with a 3 foot tall welded wire fence around the tree. Under optimum conditions they can grow 1 foot per month up to the age of 5 months. Hatching at about 1 pound, they should weigh 4.5-5 pounds at 30 days. The legs are like tree trunks.
