While his catch-as-catch-can style made him an awesome sight in the ring, it was in WWE where Rey Mysterio became a main event star. Taking a page from his late friend Eddie Guerrero, his strength lies in his heart and not his size. And his ability is to entertain is undeniable. This collection, The Biggest Little Man, may not be truly definitive of the superstar, because of certain omissions, but the matches never fall beyond the point of being good. Recommended.
Rey Mysterio performing a Springboard Seated Senton on D-Von Dudley. In 2002, Mysterio signed with WWE, but was asked to wear the mask again. In Mexico, one could be fined or even have their license suspended in lucha libre by the Box y Lucha Commission for this; there, once a wrestler loses his mask, he cannot regain it. In deference to this tradition, Mysterio continues to not wear a mask when performing in Mexico. This includues non-wrestling appearances in the Rey Mysterio: 619 DVD produced by WWE, although he wore a mask on the recent tour in Mexico on January 1 and January 20, 2006.
Rey Mysterio is scheduled for knee surgery after No Mercy. Tazz contract with WWE expires at the end of the year, and is apparently looking for a raise before he re-signs. He is said to dislike WWE's heavy travel schedule and wants more money to put up with it.
