CBS's ratings success with a recent Carol Burnett reunion special has given the other networks ideas. NBC already has a reunion special on the "The Cosby Show" ready to go for May sweeps, New York Daily News reports. "The Cosby Show" was a massive hit on Thursdays for NBC from 1984-92. The paper reports that Cosby contacted the show's producer -- Carsey-Werner-Mandalbach -- not long after the Carol Burnett special knocked it out of the park for CBS, finishing as the No. 1 show for the week. "Bill always felt it was a landmark series that had a lot of important themes that related to family and how parents should communicate with children," said producer Tom Werner. "So hopefully the special will have some content value above and beyond just the normal clip show."

MADEA'S FAMILY REUNION is written and directed by Tyler Perry, produced by Perry and Reuben Cannon and stars Perry, Blair Underwood, Lynn Whitfield, Boris Kodjoe, Jenifer Lewis, Keke Palmer, Maya Angelou and Cicely Tyson. The Madea soundtrack, driven by the hit Brian McKnight single "Find Myself In You," which is currently #10 on Billboard's urban adult contemporary chart, is expected to be one of the top-charting soundtracks in the nation when it debuts on the Billboard charts this week.

The Human Society of the United States announced today that it would continue to accept new requests for reunion assistance until November 23rd. This is great. Evacuees who have finally gotten into their house, have made assesments and figured out what they need to do, still have time to try to find the other part of their family who may have been displaced.
