Restoration Hardware found success in selling to both men and women. Unlike most housewares stores, men accounted for about 30 percent of Restoration Hardware's sales. Restoration Hardware combines tabletop with nickel-plated hammers." In 1998 furniture and lighting brought in 43 percent of the firm's sales.
