In Japan, where Resident Evil 2 was titled Biohazard 2, the game was released a week after the North American release. The game was made easier for the Japanese market with changes in item and enemy placement, increased firepower for weapons and the auto-aiming feature turned on by default.

Beat the game on the easy difficulty setting with any rank better than an F to unlock Jill's costume from the original Resident Evil and Regina's costume from Dino Crisis. Successfully complete the game on the hard difficulty setting with a rank of D to unlock two costumes, C for three, B for four, and A for all five costumes. The three additional costumes are a police miniskirt, disco, and biker outfits.

The name of the game for each installment of Resident Evil is simple, SURVIVAL HORROR. Well of course with that theme, you would expect the graphics, animations and special effects to show that off wouldn't you? RE0 does that incredibly well, even if it does have its few faults. But the faults are very minor, which make the overall presentation of RE0 graphically truly eye opening!

The Biohazard 2 Original Soundtrack is the original soundtrack CD for Resident Evil 2, and was composed by Masami Ueda, Shusaku Uchiyama, and Shun Nishigaki. It does not contain every track written for the game .... The remaining tracks were included in the subsequent release of the Biohazard 2 Complete Track album on August 21, 1998.

According to this source (as first reported on RE Fan), online support for Resident Evil: Outbreak will be cut on December 31, 2007. The single player game will obviously be unaffected, but online play will no longer be available.
