Reproduction is the biological process by which existing organisms create new individual organisms. Every existing plant, animal or other living organism is the result of biological reproduction, and all living things reproduce in some way. The many known methods of reproduction are generally placed into one of two classifications, sexual and asexual reproduction.

The Department of Growth and Reproduction was established in March 1990. The Department was founded to treat boys and girls with problems concerning their growth, development of sexual organs and puberty, as well as to study and treat adult men with testicular dysfunction or infertility. The intent of the department's founders was to establish a center for research into the normal and pathological processes that affect growth and reproduction.
