Registration of an establishment is not an approval of the establishment or its products by FDA. That is, it does not provide FDA clearance to market. Unless exempt, premarketing clearance or approval is required before a device can be placed into commercial distribution in the U.S.

Registration holds prevent students from enrolling. Before registering on SOLAR, clear all holds. Students with advisement holds must contact their academic advisor in the Student Services Center/EOP Satellite Office for the college of their major. Undecided majors must contact the Advising Resource Center (ARC)/EOP. Students with financial holds must immediately pay their account balance in full to be eligible to register.

Registration in PAWS is based upon a student's access date. Access dates are based upon a student's Year in Program as determined by your college. Year in Program, in the case of returning students, is based on the last year you completed rather than the year you will be entering. For example, a returning student entering their 4th year will be in year three of their program. If you have questions about your year in program, please contact your college.

All registration information must be verified annually between October 1st and December 31st of each year using FURLS accessed through the Registration and Device Listing website. When completing your annual establishment registration requirement, you will have the opportunity to review the registration and listing information that FDA has on file for you and to update the information if any changes have occurred.
