"Many people don't know that Red Cross volunteers and staff have long been embedded at these military hospitals and stations. Those Red Crossers acted quickly to share these cards with those recovering soldiers who couldn't be home for the holidays," said Neal Denton, Senior Vice President, Service to the Armed Forces. Brobst Tree Service cut, chopped and trimmed trees at the Red Cross on Friday June 2. Many of the limbs and branches were creating a hazard for people visiting the office. The crew from Brobst came in and trimmed, cut and chopped the old trees that were causing problems.

Evacuees, survivors and people displaced by Hurricane Katrina should, if they intend to stay in San Francisco, proceed immediately to the American Red Cross - Bay Area Chapter for registration and assessment. Temporary shelter and other support services will be provided.
