Actor JERRY O'CONNELL planted 800 grapevines for fiancee REBECCA ROMIJN, after being inspired by a romantic getaway to California's wine country. The actor followed up his visit by planting 800 Merlot and Cabernet grapevines on the property the couple owns north of Los Angeles. Romijn says the gesture was "the most romantic gift". The burgeoning vineyard is now a favourite spot for the pair to spend their leisure time. The X-MEN beauty has placed a rocking chair in the vineyard and brings her two poodles and German shepherds with her while she reads scripts and O'Connell shoots golf balls or tends to the vines. The couple's home was a former brothel in the 1930s called The Wagon Wheel Ranch and, taking into account the history of their home, they plan to eventually bottle Wagon Wheel Wine.
