Real Estate Marketing: Real Estate Agents
built 289 days ago
Beginning early next year, real estate agents, along with home buyers and sellers, will likely be able to take advantage of virtual home tours over the Internet. This type of technology will be an improvement over the current still photos available online because it will allow home buyers to view the interior of a home from a number of angles. Realtor.com, which is operated by RealSelect Inc. and is the official site of the National Association of Realtors, will make the virtual tours available with software developed by Jutvision Inc. Aside from helping home buyers by giving them a complete view of the home, the new technology will ... help real estate agents by giving them a more effective marketing technique. In most cases, the agent will pay the cost for the online video, which will average about $99. After finding a property, the agent will contact Jutvision, who will send a photographer out to the home to film its interior. The video will be converted into an Internet presentation, and the whole process should take about three days to complete.

Let's say as an Real Estate Agent you decide that when someone buy a home or list a home from you, you will send a pre-scheduled campaign of cards to your new customer. You will first send a Thank You Card, then a Birthday Card will be scheduled, A Holiday card will be scheduled and an Anniversary of Policy postcard will be scheduled that promotes new products that you offer.

Most real estate agents who require visitors to sign up to search the MLS think there is a balance of power. The agent has something the visitor wants (MLS access to thousands of homes), and the website visitor has something the real estate agent wants (their contact information). But here is the reality. It’s not equal. The site visitor is holding all the cards. The visitor doesn’t need you or your website.
