Hanford's B Reactor is a unique artifact of the beginning of the nuclear age. It is not only a well-preserved example of the first generation of nuclear reactors, it is actually the first production-scale nuclear reactor every made. Completed in 1944, it produced plutonium for the world's first atomic bomb, the Trinity test on July 16, 1945, and for the bomb that destroyed Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. The reactor's place in U.S. history is indisputable, as is its key role in world history. In short, when humanity first learned how to tap the energy of the atomic nucleus -- a milestone in human evolution -- it was first put to use at B Reactor. And that first step still stands as a solitary structure in the desert of southeastern Washington state.

Box artwork for Reactor. The Atari 2600 conversion of Reactor is a rather faithful adaption. Besides the missing animation, which is to be expected, only two other features were changed. The bonus chambers appear across from one another and flip from the bottom to the top of the screen and back every time a particle enters and exits the chamber. Also, the number of controls rods went inexplicably from odd numbered sets to even numbered sets (4, 6, 8, and 10). Everything else, including the two different cores, and visible or invisible walls, is present. You may even select which of the four levels you wish to start from.
Metropolis Records Not many bands can claim they can cross many musical boundaries with the ease that Juno Reactor has. Trance, techno, industrial, pop, rock, dance, and world - Juno Reactor has touched them all. In 2003, Odyssey 1992-2002 was released and serves as a celebration of the band's on-going achievements. Featuring the best of the best Juno Reactor tracks from all of their albums, as well the newest track, "Hotaka", it highlights some of the most interesting collaborators that the band has ever worked with.
Reactor Reactor music challenges the notion of what thrash/speed metal is all about. Taking metal in new and fresh directions while adding unusual influences gives Reactor music unique character and personality. More than a burst of energy of frenzied playing, Reactor carefully assembles their music for maximum effect.

Originating in 2002, Reactor quickly developed a reputation for working collectively to achieve ambitious self-initiated events. Through these evolving and interactive environments, Reactor challenged the viewer to give up their position as a passive observer. These early projects lead to collaborations with numerous independent artists, and partnership projects with organisations such as Angel Row Gallery and the NOW Festival. Reactor used these situations to experiment with their collaborative practice and develop a fluid use of space in response to differing contexts.

B Reactor plutonium was used in the "Fat Man" bomb dropped on Nagasaki, Japan, on August 9, 1945. Fat Man, exploding in a 20 kiloton blast, devastated more than two square miles of the city and caused approximately 45,000 immediate deaths and as many as 150,000 total. Japan sued for peace five days later.
