Talented and precocious, child star Raven Symone has been in the spotlight for almost as long as she has been alive. Born on December 10, 1985 in Atlanta, GA, Symone began her career at an early age as a child model. Her family soon relocated to New York, where the gifted young girl signed on with the Ford Modeling Agency. Symone auditioned for a part in “Ghost Dad”, starring Bill Cosby, and though too young for the part, Symone impressed the casting director, who then introduced her to the movie’s star. Cosby was ... impressed, both with her personality and her ability to remember lines, and wanted her to be on his show, “The Cosby Show.” Symone made her television debut on Cosby’s show in 1989 as Olivia Kendall, thus starting an impressive showbiz career.

Raven - the chuckiest model in town. When a comet flies over San Fran, Eddie seems to have been stricken with the same psychic powers Raven has. Though his two friends discourage him, Eddie uses his power to see into the future to gain superficial popularity in the school, trying to get the attention of one girl in particular (Hayley Duff, Hilary’s older sister, playing a part very similar to her role in the excellent movie Napoleon Dynamite). When the comet leaves earth, Eddie loses his visions, and soon gets into trouble with a bully who was depending on the teen’s abilities for gambling. Raven and Chelsea save Eddie from being beat up, though, when they dress up as ‘70s funk-talking undercover cops who “inspect marshmallows” (again, rolls eyes).
Raven-Symone is currently the star of the Disney Channel sitcom, That's So Raven (as Raven Baxter). She is well known for playing the role of Olivia on The Cosby Show. After The Cosby Show, she got the role of Nicole on Hangin' with Mr. Cooper. She later told her dad that she wanted to sing, and released her debut album when she was eight years old on MCA Records called, Here's to New Dreams. She was the youngest person ever to sign with them. While playing the role of Nicole, Raven had time for her first major movie role playing Stymie's girlfriend in the 1994 film, The Little Rascals.

Actress Raven dropped the "Symone" from her name when she emerged as one of the Disney Channel's newest stars. Her sitcom for the cable network, That's So Raven, debuted in 2003 and prompted industry-watchers to compare Raven to famous television comediennes from Lucille Ball to Hilary Duff. Though just over 18, the actress was already a veteran performer, having charmed audiences as the preschooler Olivia, the youngest resident of the Huxtable household, in the hit NBC sitcom The Cosby Show during its final three seasons, from 1989 to 1992. With the Disney job, she was pleased to be working once again on such a positive, multicultural series. "I just want to represent my people well," she told Essence journalist Heather Keets Wright. "I'm not going to be ghetto on the show.
