A player's rating is "provisional" if he/she has played less than 20 games. A rating is "established" if it is based on 20 or more games. A different formula is used to calculate ratings for established and provisional players. See help provisional for some information about provisional ratings.

The FOX broadcast actually garnered the highest rating for the Super Bowl ever. 97.5 million watched the game (a 37.6 rating), according to Nielsen. This makes it not only the most-watched Super Bowl game, but ... the second most watched show in TV ever, just behind the M*A*S*H finale in 1983.

Each time you go up a level, the amount of rating needed to get the same benefit will increase. An example of the scaling involved would be the current implementation of Agility which has always worked this way in the live game, requiring more agility for the same critical strike chance as you go up in level.

Note that during the provisional period, BEATING a player whose rating is more than 400 points below yours will DECREASE your rating. This is a consequence of the averaging process. It's useful too, because it prevents the technique of getting an inflated provisional rating after one game, and then beating 19 weak players to get an established rating that is too high.

Game titles that carry the E10+ rating might contain moderate amounts of cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes. Games appropriate for all ages will continue to receive an E (Everyone) rating.
