rare earth booking Rare Earth is available for your next corporate event! Formed in Detroit in 1967, Rare Earth was the first white act signed to the legendary Motown Records label. Their heady mix of Rock, Soul, Funk and pop melodies clicked with both the critics and the audience who appreciated the band's excellent musicianship and electric live show. Founding members Gil Bridges (saxophone/vocals) and Ray Monette (guitar/vocals) remain from the original lineup, one that remains as vibrant and exhilarating as in the Band's heyday.
Rare Earth provides a slow release of Silicon, Humates, and 72 rare earth minerals. Derived from ancient seabed deposits of pyrophyllitic clay and blended with Fulvate Ore, Rare Earth elements develop a crystal silicon matrix within growing plant tissue which protects the plant from heat, stress, and nutrient extremes. It ... deters fungal disease and reduces susceptibility to insect damage by "hardening" the plant. Blend with rooting media for best results.
rare earth in concert Rare Earth is great! At the climax of their show, the audience is always on their feet – some of those feet on chairs and tables – with the audience demanding an encore, which is acknowledged with another show stopping “million seller” by the incomparable Rare Earth. idetracked a great band and- the financial inequity aside- quite possibly prevented Mitch Ryder from tapping his full potential as a singer. But all these problems can't erase the indelible rush of The Detroit Wheels shifting into over-drive with that inimitable, fiery voice flying over the top.
Rare-earth compounds containing lanthanum are extensively used in carbon lighting applications, especially by the motion picture industry for studio lighting and projection. This application consumes about 25 percent of the rare-earth compounds produced. La2O3 improves the alkali resistance of glass, and is used in making special optical glasses. Small amounts of lanthanum, as an additive, can be used to produce nodular cast iron.
A more recent optical application for rare earths is trichromatic fluorescent lamps. The lamps, which emit white light produced by mixing of three colors of light produced by rare-earth phosphors, are much more efficient than conventional fluorescent tubes. The optical properties of the rare earths are ... exploited in lasers and optical fibers. The most important application is the use of neodymium and yttrium in Nd:YAG (yttrium aluminum garget) lasers, one of the most popular lasers in use today.
Canada recovers rare earths mainly from uranium mining residues. The large unexplored deposit is located in Orka, Quebec. The Strange Lake deposit, located in Labuladuo, contains yttrium and heavy rare earths. The prepared work for exploitation is being done.
