In the early 80´s the first Rap Artists entered the West Coast. Some moved across from the East Coast like the brothersHenry G, Evil E (later known as the NY City Spin Masters), Lil Rockin Gor Afrika Islam and influenced the scene with the New York Rap Style. Others who started careers as D.J.´s began to add, instruments and raps to their performance like Dr. Dre or Egyptian Lover. Assisted by musicians like Daniel Sofer, Dave Storrs and Rich Cason the first productions made their way to vinyl which was often distributed by Macola Records. This section is dedicated to the West Coast Artists who lead the way for the whole genre. With biographies, interviews and a overview over their early productions this part of the side solves long time West Coast Riddles about the Pioneers in this game.

Cleveland based rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony ... had a monumental impact on the Midwestern gangsta rap scene. The mid-1990s saw Bone metamorphose into an extremely popular commercial rap assemblage with the release of their critically acclaimed album E 1999 Eternal. Their fast, harmonizing vocals (coupled with their fast rap delivery) changed the limitations of gangsta rap.

All performing artists will be featured on the national Rap Olympics DVD called "Phenomenon." The best Freestyle Artists will be selected to advance and compete for $50,000 in the Celebrity Rap Olympics competition this summer in New York City. The Rap Olympics will push on throughout the summer with a nationwide messaging campaign in association with the Anger Management 3 Tour.

For your information many of the critics of Imus are ... criticising the rap lyrics which denigrate women. If you are worried so much about free speech why are you so critical of those who exercise it to criticize a jerk like Don Imus?
