Randy LaJoie will be coming back to the Busch Series full time in 2005. Frank Cicci, a former Busch Series team owner for many years, has joined forces with former NFL quarterback Jim Kelly to form Cicci/Kelly Racing. The new team has acquired sponsorship from the Dollar General Stores. The primary sponsor will ... bring along its corporate sponsors throughout the season. The #34 Chevy Monte Carlo will sport the yellow and black colors associated with the Dollar General Store branding.

Randy LaJoie has been chosen again to drive in the 1998 True Value International Race of Champions series. Randy won the 1997 Busch Grand National Series Championship, for the second year in a row. He drove in the four race IROC series in 1997, finishing in third place overall. He became the first NASCAR Busch Series driver to win a race in the series, winning the series finale at Michigan Speedway. LaJoie was one of the last four drivers, of the 12-driver lineup, announced to drive on Monday. The first race will be at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 13, one day before the BGN season opening NAPA Auto Parts 300.

HT Motorsports has competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for four years with such drivers as three-time NEXTEL Cup Champion Darrell Waltrip, three-time Busch Series Champion Randy LaJoie, Stacy Compton and Steve Parks. The Martinsville race in October 2006 marked the 100th Craftsman Truck start for HT Motorsports. Last year, the team ran eight NCTS races with a Toyota Tundra. Their first race with a Tundra was at New Hampshire with Chad Chaffin behind the wheel. Team Owner Jim Harris has been involved in some form of motorsports for over 30 years. Randy LaJoie is ready for a new beginning in 2001, with car owner Joe Nemechek's No. 7 Chevrolets after a frustrating two-year run with owner James Finch. LaJoie, the 1996-97 Busch Series champion, started all 32 races last season posting one win, four top-5 and nine top-10 finishes.

Randy LaJoie has seen a lot in his many years of racing. He’s won races on a weekly short-track level and has competed and won in NASCAR’s top series. The two-time NASCAR Busch Series Champion has nearly done it all in his career, but there’s one thing left on his list.

For years, Randy LaJoie has been watching Winston Cup drivers such as Jeff Burton, Michael Waltrip and Jimmy Spencer drop down to Busch Series races and show up the series' regulars. Later this season, LaJoie hopes to return the favor.
