Rammstein is currently mixing a "Mutter" of a new album in Sweden. Worldwide release for "Mutter" (German or "Mother") is tentatively set for early April. The spokesperson confirmed that the group is ... trying to ready a single for a pre-Christmas release, but added that those plans are also tentative

The 2nd Rammstein album "Sehnsucht" is released and enters the German album charts after only 2 weeks at number 1. At this point in time, both "Herzeleid" and the two singles from "Sehnsucht" "Engel" and "Du Hast" are in the top 20 of the German charts.August 23, 1997 - August 30, 1997

Korn, along with management company The Firm, created The Family Values Tour in 1998 with a bill headlined by KORN and performances from Rammstein, Ice Cube, Limp Bizkit and Orgy. 1999's line-up featured headliners Limp Bizkit, along with Filter, The Crystal Method, Primus, Staind, Mobb Deep, Ja Rule, and Method Man & Redman. KORN ... made surprise appearances at a few dates. Beyond the live touring aspect, the debut outing of The Family Values Tour spawned a gold-certified live album and platinum-certified companion home video. This was followed in spring 2000 with the second live disc and long-form home video. The 2001 trek featured Stone Temple Pilots, Linkin Park, Staind, Static-X and Deadsy.

Rammstein maakt niet alleen maar Duitse nummers. Van de nummers Du hast en Engel zijn door Rammstein ook Engelstalige versies gemaakt, respectievelijk You hate en Angel, deze nummers zijn op een speciale gelimiteerde editie van het album Sehnsucht uitgebracht. De covers Stripped (Depeche Mode) en Pet Sematary (Ramones) zijn volledig in het Engels gezongen. Op Reise, Reise staat het nummer Amerika, waarvan het refrein in het Engels gezongen wordt, en het nummer Moskou waarvan het refrein gedeeltelijk in het Russisch wordt gezongen. Op het album Rosenrot staat één Spaanstalig nummer: Te quiero puta (letterlijk: "Ik wil je, hoer", een betere vertaling is echter: "Ik hou van je, hoer").

Overall this album proves Rammstein's most intriguing work as the band delves into musical lands they had yet to uncover and do so with no failure. Fans of the past will find the album refreshing and most astounding. Newcomers will discover Rammstein as no one has ever seen them before, fully matured in their music and at their height(so far, at least) of their talent. Mutter has been waited for for nearly four years and Rammstein did not fail their fans in delivering the goods. A definite MUST BUY!! Even for those who are not particularily partial to German music this proves to be an album on which to make an exception.
