Ralph Nader: White House
built 190 days ago
Here’s what Political Lore is reporting: Ralph Nader will appear on Meet the Press on Sunday morning, the same platform he used to announce his 2004 run for the Presidency. It is not much of a stretch to predict that Nader is likely going in front of the nation to declare his official intentions of running for the White House.

Ralph Nader, a towering 6 feet, 4 inches, is soft-spoken, but he's as intense as any politician. The founder of modern consumerism, he remains a full-time activist at age 61. In addition to heading the Center for Study of Responsive Law, a few blocks up 16th Street from the White House, he reads, speaks, writes and travels nonstop.

Nader acknowledges he could harm the Democrats' chances of winning the White House. But he ... maintains that if he runs, and Democrats do not attack him, he will motivate thousands of people to go to the polls and cast votes for him, then mark the ballot for Democratic House and Senate candidates. He says that's what he did in 2000 for successful Senate candidates Maria Cantwell in Washington and Debbie Stabenow in Michigan.

The CNN Political Ticker reports that Ralph Nader will be appearing on Meet the Press with Tim Russert. The reason? More than likely to announce his political bid for the White House. Nader’s appearance on “Meet the Press” was announced Friday in an e-mail message from Nader’s exploratory campaign.
