Ralf Schumacher signe chez Mercedes et rejoint le DTM pour 2008. L'Allemand sera dans la structure Trilux AMG. Après plus de 2000km en essais au volant de la Classe C, Ralf Schumacher a signé pour Mercedes. Il suit les traces de Jean Alesi, Heinz-Harald Frentzen et Mika Hakkinen, qui ont comme lui choisi le DTM après la Formule 1.

"That was a surprise today," said Ralf Schumacher. "We came into this weekend knowing that we could be competitive, but after what happened yesterday we had to go out very early and though we still expected to be in the top five, being in the first row was a great result."

Autosport.com understands that Schumacher will be one of six drivers at the Portuguese track, including former F1 driver Christian Klien. However, Mercedes did not confirm which versions of the C-Class will be used.
