Raiden

The best-defended world in Raiden's empire was Kyoto, home to most of his Jaffa as well as serving as the training ground for all of his warriors. It was here that Raiden housed several Goa'uld laboratories which researched new technology to boost Raiden's technological advantage over his foes wherever possible. Among the advances designed by these laboratories were Raiden's thunder and lightning staves which were adapted from the standard staff weapon. Raiden's other worlds included Akita, Mito, Naha, Tosa and, formerly, Simarka.
Raiden is an Esper that is obtained by bringing the Odin Magicite to the statue of the Queen in the basement of the Ancient Castle. The Queen will drop a tear, and it will hit Odin, who will transform into Raiden. Once Raiden is gained, Odin ceases to exist. Raiden's summon, True Edge (Shin-Zantetsuken in the Advance Version), deals instant death to all opponents. Its Hit Rate is 140, but it will fail on targets immune to instant death. However, it works against the undead and will stall an enemy's final attack one turn.
Raiden had two very distinct sects of Jaffa serving him directly, the Thunder and Lightning Guards, each of which used their respective weapons from Raiden's research, who were trained in a remote monastery near Kyoto's capital city. As with the Jaffa of other Goa'uld, these troops were unquestionably loyal to Raiden and would sooner die than betray their master. In addition to these troops using weapons which could mimic the legendary abilities of their god, Raiden ... equipped his personal kara kesh with a technological system which could mimic thunder and lightning when it was used to attack his enemies.
Raiden has no qualms with being naked. He has good self-image and for the good of the world, he ventures out naked to save the day. This ... means he has more guts than the average gamer because the average gamer would giggle at the thought of streaking. Compare the situations. Take your average male gamer and think about what he would do if he was kidnapped, strapped, and stripped. He'd probably crap his pants and cry.

The Thunder God, Raiden, is mentor to all the heroes of Earthrealm. He is ageless, wise, and can harness the wrath of thunder itself. Raiden will make an excellent subject for study on this journey. Raiden had been elevated to the status of Elder God after the war with Shinnok. But when he could not convince the other Elder Gods to prevent Shang Tsung and Quan Chi from awakening the Dragon King's sleeping army, he relinquished his status and returned to Earthrealm. The first of Earth's heroes he warned of the coming danger was Kung Lao.
In the critically-panned 1997 sequel, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Raiden is revealed to be low in the hierarchy of the gods, as he must seek their guidance when the emperor of Outworld, Shao Kahn, begins his invasion of Earthrealm. Raiden had a tattoo of a dragon on his right shoulder blade that was given to those who carried his family's bloodline. (It ... allowed its bearers to travel between realms.) Shao Kahn also carried this same tattoo, and was revealed to be Raiden's brother while Shinnok was Raiden's father. (This is a non-canon event created specifically for the film that was likely a failed attempt by the screenwriters to shock viewers.) Mileena and Cyrax sported temporary versions that flew off when they were defeated. Many fans dismissed this as just another example of how far-fetched Mortal Kombat: Annihilation was from the games. Raiden does not have his movie tattoo in either Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance or Mortal Kombat: Deception; this can be seen on his alternative outfits as both have one of his shoulders bare, and in the games, his status among the Elder Gods varies so much it could be said he had attained the power to traverse realms at some point and never needed such a mystical tool.
