WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: XMSR) today announced that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued new grants of authority for three XM radios with FM transmitters after determining that the radios are in compliance with FCC regulations. These XM plug-and-play radios -- Audiovox Xpress, Delphi RoadyXT, and XM Sportscaster -- are three of XM's primary products at retail. XM is notifying its manufacturers to resume production of these devices. These new products are expected to be available at retail for the holiday shopping season.

Warner Music Group is the second music company to resolve its dispute with XM regarding radios with advanced recording functionality. A similar agreement between XM and Universal Music Group was announced on December 17. Both agreements are multi-year deals that cover current XM radios and future devices. Warner Music Group has withdrawn as a party to the complaint filed by the major record companies against XM in May 2006.
