Radiohead's presence, as well as sets from Beck and others, further emphasized the five-year-old festival's evolution from an exclusive jam-band haven to a more all-inclusive party celebrating an increasingly expanding array of styles. That said, ticket sales and fan reaction to both ... reflect that often ignored fact that, believe it or not, jam band fans actually like and listen to Radiohead and Beck, too.

In a matter of minutes, Matt had summed up everything that has been written about Radiohead in the past few years. Rock critics, like adolescent fans, have feisty friendships with the bands they admire, lacing hero worship with contempt. It's one thing to hear this from a college student; it's another to read it in cold print, in all its meandering incoherence. If some magazines didn't use rating systems, you would have no idea what the reviewers thought. The magazine Q, for example, gave "Amnesiac" four stars and then called it "numb, petty, desolate." Spin wrote, "They're just trying to get home in one piece, life is but a dream. Fa fa fa. Blip blip." Rating: 7 out of 10.

At Pitchfork Festival last weekend, Iron & Wine covered Radiohead's masterpiece "No Surprises." Both the video and the audio are below - enjoy! It's a great cover. Not the best quality for either audio or video, but it's live, so you take what you can get. Beggars can't be choosers.
