Radiohead: Music

Radiohead, the kings nerdy, boring, tuneless rock music, are on top of the world. They've proven time and time again that they can piss directly into your open mouths, and you'll frolic and gargle in the yellow stream like God himself was giving you a nectar-bath. Loathsome pseudo-intellectual college boys used to have ponytails; now they have Radiohead. God help you, you stupid, gullible infants.
Though Radiohead is not your typical mainstream band and have not gained the kind of radio recognition that many other successful artists have, they have managed to keep their title as a figurehead in the music industry. Their live show has been described as beautiful and magnificent leaving their loyal fans screaming with hunger for more.

Something about Radiohead inspires a disorienting kind of hope. Unlike so many professional cynics in the business, these musicians believe that their art can go still higher. They have promoted dozens of lesser-known, musically inventive acts, including Autechre, the Beta Band, Clinic, Kid Koala, Lali Puna, Low, Sparklehorse, and, of course, Christoph de Babalon. They have ... boosted favorite authors, helping to sell thousands of copies of Naomi Klein's anti-globalization screed "No Logo." The artists who appear on this roster have little or nothing in common, and that is what they have in common: they are a funky clamor of voices, not a line of products. Such guerrilla marketing is, in the end, a form of politics—a protest against the growing sameness of the cultural landscape. The sheer cussedness of the enterprise is amazing to behold.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Philip "Phil" James Selway is the drummer of Radiohead. Phil is often jokingly called the "bald member". In fact he is one of the friendliest. Phil is the oldest of the band and perhaps the most underrated one. His soft and polite voice can easily be recognized in interviews and concerts. Before joining Radiohead he had drummed for various touring musicians and worked as an English teacher. FULL NAME: Phillip James Selway.
[Y]ou may dabble in Radiohead, just bear in mind that, in the last analysis, The Bends is truly their alpha and omega. Whatever musical virtuosity they may display in the coming decades will never have the merest hope of comparing to what they achieved as a genuine band, in those oh-so-special months in 1994 and 1995.

Hail To The Thief by Radiohead Radiohead are one of the most "impossible" bands that ever existed. Trying to describe their music is much like trying to describe a dream. But unlike a dream, Radiohead appear in a form very real and tangible to the ears.
