rrrkkelt.jpg R&B crooner Ne-Yo is suing R. Kelly. The lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles on Monday, December 31st, alleges that Ne-Yo was fired as an opening act from Kelly's tour a few months ago because he outshined the headliner and got a better response from the crowd.

Current Issue As the details of the tragedy were unfolding last week, Kelly was traveling across the country on his tour bus for a performance. Deeply affected by the news, he was inspired to write lyrics he shaped into a song entitled, “Rise Up,” a moving anthem in honor and remembrance of the victims of this heartbreaking event.
R. Kelly Ne-Yo claims he was fired as the opening act of Kelly's tour after just two of the 25 dates because the audiences liked him better than Kelly. He is seeking unspecified damages in the suit and claims he is owed at least $735,000 from his original contract. Ouch.
