Note: Unlike regular quests, most repeatable quests are cleared from the Quest Log when the player leaves the area in which the quest is given. Any tasks completed (crossed out) in the quest log will be undone. The next time you enter the area you will have to start the quest over. The only confirmed exceptions are the Mallyx the Unyielding quest and the Wintersday 2006 quests In Grenth's Defense and You're a Mean One, Mr. Grenth, which are not cleared from the quest log when you change zones.

Currently active quests are listed with their status and details in the Quest Log (L key). Quests can ... be shared with other party members. A player can be in the process of completing (or completed but not turned in) up to 25 quests at any one time. A warning will sound and a small message appears if you try to accept a quest when you already have 25 quests.

You can share your quests with your entire party. In order to utilize this option, you need to open your quest log, select a quest and press the "Share Quest" button. All members of your party will now be presented with the quest like you were the quest giver NPC. Some restrictions:

Quests can be abandoned with no penalty by clicking Abandon Quest in the Quest Log, except that the player must find the quest giver again to pickup the quest again. The Cancel button in the Quest Log just closes the window and does not affect any selected quests.

The majority of quests can be done at your convenience. If a quest has multiple objectives, you can do them whenever you like as long as the quest remains in your quest log. The exceptions to this are the few timed quests in the world, which allow only a limited amount of time to complete them. These timed quests will have some mention of this limit in the quest log.
