1. Sql Server 2000 -- Queries
   SQL Server ... allows stored procedures to be defined. Stored procedures are parameterized T-SQL queries, that are stored in the server itself (and not issued by the client application as is the case with general queries). Stored procedures can accept values sent by the client as input parameters, and send back results as output parameters. They can also call other stored procedures, and can be selectively provided access to. Unlike other queries, stored procedures have an associated name, which is used at runtime to resolve into the actual queries. Also because the code need not be sent from the client every time (as it can be accessed by name), it reduces network traffic and somewhat improves performance.[8] Execution plans for stored procedures are also cached as necessary.
2. Vector Space -- Documents
   Vector-space queries return documents that match a list of words and phrases. Documents returned by vector-space queries do not necessarily match every term in the query. The rank of each document indicates how well the document matched the query.
3. Sql Server 2000 -- Results
   A final word on determinism: until the advent of SQL Server 2000, the concept of function determinism had no significance. It is now important to understand the determinism of a function. All functions are either deterministic or nondeterministic. Deterministic functions always return the same result any time they are called with a specific set of input values.

   Recursion is a way of specifying a process by means of itself. More precisely (and to dispel the appearance of circularity in the definition), "complicated" instances of the process are defined in terms of "simpler" instances, and the "simplest" instances are given explicitly.

Review criteria include the originality and soundness of the method and its usefulness for the intended audience.

   Active Learning(2) Membership query learning is another example. The distinguishing difference with respect to selective sampling is that the a labeled can be requested for any unlabeled point (not just those drawn according to some natural distribution). Several relatively strong results hold for membership query learning, but there is a significant drawback: it seems that the ability to query for a label on an arbitrary point is not very natural. For example, imagine query whether a text document is about sports or politics when the text is generated at random.
