During an event in Westminster Hall marking her Silver Jubilee, in 1977, the Queen stated, "I cannot forget that I was crowned Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland." This reference came at a time when the Labour government was attempting to introduce a controversial devolution policy to Scotland and Wales, and was interpreted as opposition to devolution. The Queen has many queenly qualities that others don't possess. For one thing, she is courageous. One time, when decending from a plane, the Queen became a victim of attempted assination, when was shot at. However, while most people would have ducked and ran, or at least flinch or look alarmed, the Queen barely moved a muscle. Queen Elizabeth walked away from the incident, unfazed, not only physically, but mentally as well. Since then, the Queen's life was put in danger several times, but she managed to pull through smiling, displaying her tough mental state.
