MURDER HAS TWO CATEGORIES IN CANADA: An external committee investigating the death of a patient at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Services Center has proposed some recommendations to guide the hospital in dealing with “terminally ill” patients. Among those recommendations was the following: “The Criminal Code should not include the same punishment for compassion-motivated murder and murder motivated by personal gain or evil intent.”
