The great transition in the process of economic development happened after issuing law No. (1) for the year 1980 regulating industry. This law provides for a lot of incentives for the local investors in the field of industry, in addition to the promotional incentives regulated by law No. (19) for the year 1995 which facilitates the process of obtaining industry licenses and unifies the executive bodies that grant promotional incentives.

Qatar has embarked on constructing the Public National Library on Doha Corniche over an area of 145,000 square meters. Talking of the project, Director of museums department at the National Council of Culture, Arts and Heritage Hussein Rajab told Qatarinfo.net that the library is one of the leading projects not only in the region, but worldwide. The design of the library is a master piece, he said.
