The Pussycat Dolls are hopping mad! Reports are coming out from the media that the group is on the verge of splitting up despite the huge sucess of their first album and the following concert tour.

With the involvement of music producers Jimmy Iovine and Ron Fair, the Pussycat Dolls were re-cast, transformed into a pop and R&B recording group, and became employees of Iovine's label Interscope Records. The only troupe member who remained after the re-casting process was Carmit Bachar.

The Pussycat Dolls started life as a burlesque troupe before their reinvention as an R&B act in 2003. Since then the group have gone on to have several hit singles and work alongside the likes of Snoop Dogg and Busta Rhymes and recruited new member Asia Nitollano through a TV reality show.
