   Hoobastank is a rock band best known for their hits "Crawling in the Dark" (2001), "Running Away" (2002) and a hit single, "The Reason" in 2004. Hoobastank formed in the Los Angeles County suburb Agoura Hills in 1994. Vocalist Doug Robb met with guitarist Dan Estrin in a high school battle of the bands competition and decided to form a band. They recruited Markku Lappalainen and Chris Hesse to form Hoobastank. In an interview with Launch Yahoo Doug Robb said the name had no particular meaning. "You're going to ask me what it means.
5. Chevelle (Musical Act)
   Inspired by the lurching riffs of Helmet and the soft/loud vocal styling of Tool Chicago-based trio Chevelle s aggressive, heavy sound is all about mounting tension exploding into raw guitar bursts. Formed in 1995, Chevelle s members are brothers Sam (drums), Pete (vocals, guitar), and Joe Loeffler (bass). They started out playing parties and outdoor events, which quickly led to bookings at Chicago clubs when youngest member Joe was just 14. In 1999, Chevelle released their Steve Albini produced debut album, Point #1 on Squint Entertainment Three years later, the band inked a deal with Epic and issued Wonder What's Next In June, the album went platinum and their second single, "Send the Pain Below," was a number one hit on modern rock and mainstream radio. 6. Marisa Miller
   An all-American girl and avid surfer, Marisa Miller was discovered by famed photographer Mario Testino who snapped photos of her while she was surfing off the beach in Santa Barbara just four years ago. Her first modeling deal was posing in the buff for Perfect 10 magazine. But soon she was able to model with her clothes (barely) on and made her way into the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue where she's now appeared three times. Miller has starred in advertising campaigns for J. Crew, Tommy Hilfiger and Nordstrom and posed for the covers of Fitness, Vogue and Shape magazines. The California girl soon became a regular in the Victoria's Secret catalog. In addition to surfing, Miller ... plays volleyball and basketball and is a big fan of football and NASCAR racing.

   Nickelback is an abomination. Their music is uninspired, recycled, repugnant garbage, and their success makes a mockery of music and serious musicians everywhere. It is an atrocity that they make a living off of playing a sad excuse for music. If you like them, that's ok for you. But they certainly are not "great" or "the best band ever" or even "pretty good."
8. Linkin Park
   Linkin Park's debut album Hybrid Theory was the best-selling album in America for the year 2001. 9. Avenged Sevenfold
   Heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold will be joined by bands Operator, The Confession and Black Tide for a show at Revolution. Avenged is touring in support of its self-titled fourth full-length album released on October 30. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, selling about 94,000 copies in its first week. Operator is touring behind its debut album Soulcrusher, which came out in August; it features the title track Nothing To Lose. The Confession released Requiem this past March. Miami-based Black Tide (formerly Radio) has just issued its first EP titled Shockwave.
10. Weezer -- Bands
    Weezer is an American Grammy-nominated rock band from Los Angeles, California. They have released five full-length albums, three EPs, and a DVD; the first album was later re-released as a remastered deluxe edition. Their most recent album, Make Believe, was released on May 10, 2005. Weezer is currently recording their sixth album, with a tentative release for the first half of 2008 in mind. They have sold more than 10 million records to date in the US.
