To this point, there have been no cases in which Proscar interacted with other commonly used drugs. However, it is best that you let your personal health care specialist know about any other drugs, vitamins, minerals or nutritional supplements you are currently taking before starting the treatment, as there may be some circumstances where Proscar dosage needs to be adjusted, or special monitoring needs to be employed during the treatment.

Patients have received single doses of Proscar up to 400mg and multiple doses of Proscar up to 80mg/day for three months without adverse effects. Until further experience is obtained, no specific treatment for an overdose with Proscar can be recommended.

You should always remember to take Proscar as scheduled. Should you ever happen to miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for another intake. If it is almost time for another intake, it is better to entirely skip that dose and continue with the regular intake schedule. Never take a double dose of this drug to make up for a lost one. It is advised that you let your personal health care specialist know about any doses you may have missed, as he could decide to modify your dosage or intake schedule depending on the number of missed doses and the usual dosage.
