Diaphragm size - Dwyer® Pressure Switches are offered in three series based on diaphragm size. Series 1600 models have a 7-3/4" diaphragm diameter which provides the greatest actuating force for maximum sensitivity and repetitive accuracy. Series 1800 models with 4" diaphragms are compact and low in cost, yet they deliver excellent performance for OEM and general service. Series 1900 models have 3-1/2" diaphragms operating through Dwyer-engineered force-motion amplifier levers, assuring high sensitivity and repeatability in these compact, low cost switches.

Tactical Flashlight Pressure Switch This Pressure Switch works with the Tactical Flashlight, allowing you to depress the pad to activate the flashlight only when needed. This is great for when you just want to take a quick peek in the dark or for blinding your opponents before storming their bunker!
The Switches Reference Center, from Machine Design, is designed to provide design engineers with the information they need for a specific micro switch, toggle switch or pressure switch. This information will help in the decision to purchase Switches including: pressure switches, toggle switches, limit switches, temperature switches, speed switches, level switches, hall effect switches, pressure transducers and other input/output devices. The Switches 101 section includes reference information about the various types of controllers and the selection criteria and requirements used for typical mechanical engineering applications. Micro switch, toggle switch and pressure switch articles will point you to recent application and product articles that have appeared recently in the pages of Machine Design magazine. Position and velocity switches are common in industrial and automotive applications. Position switches span a broad spectrum, and virtually all closed-loop motion-control systems use one.
Oil Pressure Switch In older vehicles the Oil Pressure switch sends a signal to a gauge or light. If your car is equipped with an oil gauge you can see the status of the oil pressure. If you have a warning light it should light up when you start the car, shut off when oil pressure builds (as engine and oil pump turn), then only light again if a low oil pressure condition is detected.

Starting April 1, 2003, all new Thermco gas mixers will utilize an all solid-state pressure switch for surge tank pressure control, except those gas mixers mixing hydrogen. This switch features a digital pressure readout, and a minimum life of 100 million cycles. Both the sensing element and the electrical switch are solid-state. For the great majority of gas mixers, this switch will last the lifetime of the gas mixer and never need replacement. The part number for the standard solid-state switch is SWTCHPRE-01.
