Oddly there were many interesting similarities between abraham lincoln and jfk s assassination. Lincoln was shot in Ford s theater. Kennedy was shot in a Lincoln made by Ford. Lincoln was elected to congress in 1846. Kennedy was elected to congress in 1946. Lincoln was elected to the Presidency in 1860.

Many medical experts now believe that Lincoln may have been dying before he was assassinated. He was showing signs late in his Presidency of congestive heart failure. Lincoln, who was 6 feet 4 inches tall (the tallest President) had large hands and long, lanky arms and legs. Many doctors believe that this was evidence that Lincoln ... suffered from Marfan's Syndrome. Both diseases have been known to be fatal.

With so many failures, a lot of people, in Lincoln's position, probably would have given up. But because he was determined and committed to make his political dreams come true, he would get up each time he was knocked down. He knew the only way to gain ground, to move forward, to march on, and to turn his goals into reality, was to learn from his setbacks and failures.
