The major categories for Pre-Health Professional Studies are Pre-Chiropractic, Pre-Dental, Pre-Medical, and Pre-Veterinary Studies. Virtually all of the professional schools in these fields have the same minimum requirements, and these normally include 8 hours of laboratory biology, 8 hours of general and 8 hours of inorganic chemistry, and 8 hours of laboratory physics. Beyond these, requirements may differ slightly depending on the health profession that is being pursued. The largest percentage of students admitted to health professional graduate studies majored in biology, and chemistry is the second most common major, but students majoring in disciplines as diverse as history, music or psychology are ... viable candidates provided that they satisfy the pre-requisites of the professional school to which they seek admission. The University of Bridgeport's Bachelor of Elective Studies degree provides students with the opportunity to create a program, in consultation with their advisor, that may more precisely fit the needs of the pre-health professional student. It should be noted that pre-health professional studies in any of the enumerated categories also provides an excellent foundation for other careers in the health sciences, including naturopathy, osteopathy, podiatry, physical therapy, optometry, and pharmacy.

Pre-wrap is pre-taping foam underwrap designed to help protect skin from tape chafing and sticking. Pre-wrap is put on before athletic tape. It can be used to hold pads and socks in place and as a protective wrap inside hiking boots, ski boots, and other athletic footwear. The foam is velvety-soft and clings to itself, but doesn't stick to other materials. Use it as a sleeveholder or to keep an ice pack on an injury. Get your own roll today!

It was during this year that Pre began a protracted fight with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), which demanded that athletes who wanted to remain "amateur" for the Olympics could not be paid for appearances in track meets. Some viewed this arrangement as unfair, because the athletes drew large crowds that generated millions of dollars. At this time, the AAU was taking away amateur status if athletes were endorsed in any way. Because Prefontaine was accepting free clothes and footwear from Nike, he was subjected to the AAU's ruling. Bowerman, who ... fought the AAU's restrictions, began calling Prefontaine "Rube" because of his naivete and stubbornness.
