Pre-College Programs in Undergraduate Studies is a federally funded TRIO Program comprised of the Upward Bound Program and the Upward Bound Math and Science Program. TRIO programs provide education services to low-income and/or first-generation college bound students in an effort to overcome economic, social, and cultural barriers that impede the pursuit of higher education.

The two-year Pre-medical Program is a non-degree set of courses that have been specifically chosen for their relevance to medical education. Although it is shorter than the normal four-year undergraduate degree program taken in the United States, the Program provides students with excellent preparation to meet the pre-medical requirements of most medical colleges in the U.S. Students enrolled in the Program will receive transferable credits from Cornell University.

The Pre-Law Program provides essential advice and guidance to prepare the student headed for law school. Upon enrollment in this program, the student will be matched with a pre-law advisor in the student’s field of study. Under the careful guidance of the student’s pre-law advisor, the student will be mentored in areas such as proper course selection, admission test preparation and application preparation.

The Pre-College programs introduce high school students to the spirit and substance of the School of Art's undergraduate curriculum, preparing them to apply to and work within a college-level art program. The Department of Pre-Professional Health Programs is responsible for the supervision of the baccalaureate degree program in related health professions. This office ... coordinates all health science practica and is responsible for clinical affiliations, external funding and accreditation of the university's pre-professional health programs. The office is the primary advising center within the university of the the health professions and provides career information to students interested in medicine (allopathic and osteopathic), pharmacy, dentistry, optometry, podiatry, veterinary science and allied health.

The Pre-Health Professions Advising Center provides advising services to University of Arizona students in all majors planning to pursue a health profession. The center's advisors help students explore interests, skills, and goals and examine academic requirements for entrance to professional schools in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, public health, and all health related professions. Individual advising, workshops, and informational resources are available to students and alumni as they prepare for the health professional school admission process.
