The Pre-pharmacy Program is a comprehensive preparatory program of study toward admittance into the College of Pharmacy at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Completion of the Pre-pharmacy course curriculum or equivalent is required for admission into the professional curriculum leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.). These requirements may be completed in two years of intensive study, after which successful applicants to the Pharm.D. program continue their studies for an additional four years, for a minimum of six years of college. The coursework is structurally aligned with the curriculum requirements toward a BA or BS degree in Biology or Chemistry at UHH. Admission into and completion of the Pre-pharmacy program does not guarantee admission into the Doctor of Pharmacy Program at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.

Admission to the Pre-Pharmacy program is done by the Purdue University Office of Admissions in conjunction with the School of Pharmacy. Acceptance into the pre-pharmacy program does not guarantee acceptance into the Pharm.D. program. The Pre-pharmacy program objectives for preparation for the Pharm.D. program may be met through attendance at one of Purdue's partner schools.

The Pre-GED Connection video series contains 26 of the 39 GED Connection programs. Titles are the same, but program numbers match pre-GED workbook chapters. Teachers can either use the pre-GED videotape package, which matches the workbooks, or follow a chart in the Teacher Guide to determine which GED Connection video program corresponds to the new pre-GED lesson.
