Over the past thirteen years, the Power Rangers have been on Earth, in space, on the moon, under water, traveling through time, in the jungle and anywhere evil lurks. They've battled Rita Repulsa, Divatox, Master Org, Dark Spector, Toxica, Jindrax and many more evil-doers - villains who have been shrunk to miniatures, tossed in jail, reduced to ooze or banished. Over time, the brand has maintained its themes of teamwork, honesty, loyalty, courage, family, friends and above all, the victory of good over evil. With a far greater reach than any other kids' TV franchise, Power Rangers is currently seen in 25 timeslots each week, mornings and evenings during the Jetix action/adventure block on ABC Family and Toon Disney, and on the ABC Television Network every Saturday morning. The brand has established its ubiquity by introducing such words as "Zord," "Megazord" and "Morpher" into the modern lexicon.

As befits the Power Rangers, this game is all about kicking butt. Most of the time spent playing the game involves beating up hordes of bad guys to clear the levels.There are ... bosses to beat, and special racing type levels. There are nine main levels, played as episodes. These main levels involve running the Power Ranger of the moment across several simple platforms, encountering many evil minions along the way. These guys are reminiscent of the suits in the Matrix movies, but aren’t nearly as tough, despite their appearance. The Power Rangers can beat them up really easily by just repeatedly mashing the attack button.

Power Rangers series regularly have villains of their own make which do not appear in the Sentai footage, though for budget and footage reasons there are always carry-overs from the Japanese source material. Less commonly, some series use only the Sentai designs and footage, though despite this some sets have to be replicated for original footage if need be. There was ... one instance when to maintain the trend of the Sixth Ranger for a series where only five existed in the source footage, the Titanium Ranger was created especially for Lightspeed Rescue.

Jetix have announced that Power Rangers Operation Overdrive will begin airing in the UK on Saturday 21st July. A total of six episodes will air in two-episode blocks on the 21st, but it is not yet known if they will all be new episodes, or just two new episodes repeated three times. The pattern repeats on the following Sunday.

The current line up of the Power Rangers reflects their usual commitment to diversity. Mackenzie "Mack" Hartford (James MacLurcan) is a long time fan of every possible adventure story. In his regular life he lives in a world of fantasy often imagining himself as the protagonist of the pulp adventure novel he is currently reading. He is ... the son of Andrew (Rod Lousich), a billionaire adventurer who formed the current Power Rangers and acts as their behind the scenes controller. Even though his father wants to protect his son he allows him to become the Red Ranger who possesses incredible strength. At the start of the series Dax Lo (Gareth Yuen) is working in Hollywood as a stunt man. Although his talents are not widely appreciated he is sure that he can make it in this difficult field.
