1. Washington Post -- Stories
   [T]here was a huge (which is to say, tiny!) dust-up over a Washington Post story that ran on November 29. The story was about Barack HUSSEIN Obama and his "Muslim tie rumors" which are totally just that and so this journalism professor was like "Okay this story sucks!" (It kinda did! Mostly due to bad editing.) Then Romenesko linked to it. Everyone got upset and defended the reporter! Times reporter Ad Nags wrote a really nice note. But WaPo executive editor Len Downie wrote a really bitchy letter!
2. Watergate -- Post Story
   The Watergate affair and the sordid story that has unfolded since are not without significance. They indicate, once again, how frail are the barriers to some form of fascism in a state capitalist system in crisis. There is little prospect for a meaningful reaction to the Watergate disclosures, given the narrow conservatism of American political ideology and the absence of any mass political parties or organized social forces that offer an alternative to the centralization of economic and political power in the major corporations, the law firms that cater to their interests, and the technical intelligentsia who do their bidding, both in the private sector and in state institutions. With no real alternative in view, opposition is immobilized and there is a natural fear, even among the liberal opposition, that the power of the Presidency will be eroded and the ship of state will drift aimlessly. The likely result will therefore be a continuation of the process of centralization of power in the executive, which will continue to be staffed by representatives of those who rule the economy and which will be responsive to their conception of domestic and global order.
3. A Christmas Story -- Holiday

5. Slashdot -- Posts
   Slashdot bills itself as a website with "News for Nerds. Stuff That Matters". However, it is better known for massive threads about the philosophical significance of the words "First Post!" and how exactly one could get Natalie Portman naked, petrified, and covered in hot grits.

7. Markie Post
   Markie Post was born Marjorie Armstrong Post in Palo Alto, California on November 4, 1950. Even before joining Night Court Post enjoyed success as an in-demand actress in Hollywood. She made several appearances on series such as The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, The A-Team and Cheers. While Post was the first choice for the public defender role on Night Court, she was co-starring with Lee Majors in The Fall Guy when the courtroom series was starting. It wasn't until the third season of Night Court, when she had fulfilled her commitment to The Fall Guy, that Post joined the Night Court crew as Public Defender Christine Sullivan. The sparks between her character and Judge Harry Stone kept viewers tuned in until the show's finale in 1992.
