Polly Bergen Tony winner Karen Ziemba (Contact) and Tony nominee Polly Bergen (Follies) may soon share a stage together. The two actresses are collaborating on a new musical, titled Little Shows, and penned by Deborah Grace Winer, a source close to the project told Playbill On-Line.

Bergen most recent Broadway appearance was as Fraulein Schneider in the Roundabout's acclaimed production of Cabaret. She received Tony and Drama Desk nominations for her performance in the Roundabout's Broadway revival of Follies. Other Broadway productions, include John Murray Anderson's Almanac, Champagne Complex, Plaza Suite, First Impressions and Love Letters. Bergen has worked on more than 300 film and television projects, including "Cape Fear." Also, she received an Emmy for "The Helen Morgan Story," and two Emmy nominations for "The Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance." She has recorded numerous albums, including "Bergen Sings Morgan" and "The Party's Over."

Polly - Parade Magazine Tony nominee Polly Bergen will enter the cast of the Off-Broadway hit The Vagina Monologues October 30, 2001 and stay through December 9, 2001, a spokesman for Bergen told Playbill On-Line. Bergen's was the one performance uniformly applauded in the recent Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies. Bergen regularly brought down the house with her rendition of "I'm Still Here," and won a Tony nomination for her work.

She played the character of Rhoda Henry in two ABC miniseries, The Winds of War and War and Remembrance. She appeared in the 2001 Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies at the Belasco Theater and received a Tony Award nomination as Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
