The inaugural Ladbrokes European Online Championship of Poker was held this year from the 24th April – 1st May, and proved to be Europe’s No.1 online poker event. With seven events and a combined prize pool of over $2,000,000 some 10,000 aspiring poker players entered this year’s online satellite qualifiers and over 2,000 players participated in the seven LEOCOP event tournaments. The Main Event prize pool peaked at massive $1,065,000 – with Scarborough born catering manager Alistair Lane winning a whopping $266,250 from a mere $3 stake.
