Don Taylor Directs Escape from the Planet of the Apes - This is an eight minute video showing vintage footage of Don Taylor directing the second sequel to Planet of the Apes. Most of the footage seems to be from the circus tent set. You'll ... catch glimpses of a young Ricardo Montalban. There is also a brief one on one interview with the director.

Planet of the Apes appears in an aspect ratio of approximately 2.35:1 on this single-sided, double-layered DVD; the image has not been enhanced for 16X9 televisions. Apes came out right before Fox started to uniformly put out only anamorphic transfers. Though generally good, the image suffered from some flaws typical of unenhanced transfers as well as a few other issues.

The glorious Planet Monkeypoo (aka Planet of the Apes) in orbit around 82 Eridani. Unlike Mars, this is the kind of place to raise your kids, if your kids are monkeys, anyway. "Planet of the Apes" is the name mistakenly given by humans to the Planet Monkeypoo, which is the fourth planet in orbit around the nearby mid-sequence star 82 Eridani, which is about 20 light-years away, as the crow flies. The planet was accidentally discovered in the year 1970 by Moses when he flew his amazing Ark faster than light and crash landed in Lake Havasu.
European readers should be reassured that the Gulf Stream's existence is a consequence of the large-scale wind system over the North Atlantic Ocean, and of the nature of fluid motion on a rotating planet. The only way to produce an ocean circulation without a Gulf Stream is either to turn off the wind system, or to stop the Earth's rotation, or both.
