Pittsburgh Penguins forward John LeClair has cleared waivers today, according to TSN. Many teams are interested in seeing if LeClair will be brought back up through re-entry waivers, this way they would only have to pay half of his salary, while the Pens would be responsible for the other half. Philadelphia is one team that will try to acquire the veteran if this were to happen.

Last season saw the Penguins bust out big-time with Sidney Crosby leading a team that amassed 47 wins and 105 points. With Crosby, the 2006-07 NHL MVP, and the rest of the Penguins another year older, there's reason to believe the Stanley Cup could make its way to the Steel City this season.
